BRAIDED RUGS

The simplicity and practicality of a braided rug began as a way to use up fabric scraps and cover up well travelled floors in many farming households. Although simple in design, it is only in sewing the scraps together that the true beauty of the rug comes to life. Evie and Rose rugs are made with thoughtful attention to color and rooted in the joy of honoring this timeless tradition and family legacy. While farm wives probably had little choice over what fabrics and colors to use, I believe their desire for pleasing patterns resulted in beautiful, yet functional works of art.
